If the new account wizard is not already going, start it from the menu Tools --> Account Settings



Click on 'Add Account'. Select Email account and click next



Server information. Here you need to specify what type of incoming server you wish to use (POP or IMAP), M6.Net supports both. If you are unsure, just select POP.

Next, type in you email server address, this will normally be mail.mydomain.net, replace mydomain.net with your domain name.



Usernames. Enter your username in both incoming and outgoing boxes.

Account Name. Enter the name you which Thunderbird to call this account.



Once that wizard has finished you need to go back into the Account Settings window and change your Outgoing Server(smtp) settings. It will have automatically changed to smtp.mydomain.net. You will need to change this by pressing Edit and replace 'smtp.mydomain.net' with 'mail.mydomain.net'



All You need to do to check your mail is hit Get Mail
