What can you guarantee (Uptime)

We don’t offer an uptime guarantee, however last year we achieved an average server uptime of 99.97%. Our newer servers achieved 99.99% uptime. All new clients are placed on our newest servers.

What control panel do you use and do you have a demo?

Our control panel software is called CoPanel and was developed in-house. We do not currently have a demo available for the control panel, but there is an overview of features with screenshots available from http://m6.net/controlpanel.aspx

Will you place ads on my site?

No. You pay us to provide you with quality web hosting, we will not attempt to collect any further revenue from your website.

Do you allow adult sites?

We do not allow adult sites on our servers. If you are in doubt about the content of your proposed website please contact sales, sales@m6.net, and we will quickly appraise your proposal and let you know if we are able to host your site for you.

Do you allow SSL support?
A.
All of our packages offer SSL support through either our shared SSL certificate or you can purchase and install your own on your account, which will incur extra fees. SSL is offered through Thawte SSL and Instant SSL. SSL will alos incur a $2.50/month fee as it requires a dedicated IP address.

Can I purchase an SSL cert from you?

You can purchase SSL certificates through the control panel. Simply the extras menu in the sidebar and click “Add SSL”. From there you need to choose your preferences and click “Submit”.

Do you offer unlimited HD space and bandwidth accounts?
A.
We do not offer unlimited HD space or bandwidth. These are finite commodities, and no one can truly offer unlimited space or bandwidth. Hosts that do make such offers will still have an underlying limit that cannot be exceeded. We keep you informed so that your website will not be brought to a halt by your exceeding an unknown bandwidth limit.

Common reasons why my site isn’t working?
A.
directory listing denied
You haven’t uploaded a default document (link here to the list of default documents).
Permissions haven’t been set correctly on your web root (IUSR, IWAM and Network Service need read permission).
Your website has been stopped via your control panel, or because an invalid set of host headers has been specified for the site.
no input file specified
The PHP file you are trying to view does not exist.
Please note that this will be the output for any URL on our machines ending with .php for which the file does not exist.
CGI app ret. incorrect set of headers
Your perl application crashed or couldn’t launch.
Make sure your path names are correct (using ‘/’ in place of ‘\’ – i.e d:/clients/12345/domain.com/).
Your CGI application did not specify a ‘Content-Type:’ header in its output.
Server Appl. Unavail
The Application pool in which your site is running has crashed, or the application pool in which your site is running has run out of memory – if this doesn’t remedy itself within 10 minutes, please contact support.
