How to Setup your Site

  1. Complete the M6.Net account order process.
  2. Once you have received confirmation that your account is setup, upload your files to the /httpdocs/ folder via FTP or our web based file manager.
  3. You can view your web site as it stands on our servers with the Site Preview icon in your control panel.
  4. If you still see the domain test page when using Site Preview ensure that you have uploaded a default document. A default document will have a file name like index.aspx or default.asp
  5. Ensure that your domain is pointing to our name servers. It will pointing correctly by default if it has been registered during the sign up process.

Moving to M6.Net

  1. Complete the M6.Net account order process.
  2. Download your data from your current host.
  3. Once you have received confirmation that your account is setup, upload your data to the /httpdocs/ folder of your new account via FTP or our web based file manager.
  4. Create all of the mail boxes, FTP accounts, web users and other settings and configurations that you need.
  5. Ensure that your domain is pointing to our name servers. You can change this from your domains registrar. Our name servers are: dns1.m6.net , dns2.m6.net , dns3.m6.net
