Mail Server attack thwarted | |
|
Bob, Gavan, Matt, Ligon, Ashley, Kagan and Jagadish thank you for your persistence, commitment and care to ensure M6.Net does it's best to meet it's principles and commitments. Your efforts over the past week are something you can all feel very proud of. You have all done exceptionally great work. Thank you. In the last 3 weeks we were hit with an anonymous inbound attack on a mail server, incredibly bad luck with two failing hard drives, and IP address changes across one network from our network provider without notice. This generated several thousand support queries and a number of compounding issues. All are resolved or under control and the number of support issues in the queue is back to normal levels. These issues do not happen every day but no matter the size of the business, no hosting company is immune from them. The difference is in the people who have the will and care to commit and resolve the issues no matter what the pressure. In the midst of a touch situation, and understandably some very upset clients, each and everyone on the team kept their cool and worked through the issues with great professionalism. I am honored to work with such great people. As always it is M6.Net's ethic to utilize every moment to learn and continually improve ourselves. I know this is happening. Thank you to all our customers who have been very patient and understanding of our situation. We will continue, as always, to do our best to help you get the most from internet technology to grow, express yourself and do business with your web sites and email as much as you can. |

We're just about over all the issues caused by the recent IP change, and
all the .Net 2.0 upgrades. There are a few people that have yet to be
upgraded or moved, but I expect to get to them by the end of the week. |

Hi all and a warm welcome to all our new customers. The dev team has been working on some "backend" issues the past week, like talking to a new "central" stats server. We have also added some functionality to the invoice/receipt functionality. |
