Welcome | |

A big thank you to the many people who wrote to me with their feedback
about what problems people have when choosing a web host. I do very much
appreciate it. The last time I was a web hosting customer was over 7
years ago. The problems back then were so restrictive we bought the
company and directed all our skills and attention to web hosting. Not a
great deal has changed as it seems, this is an industry that is
gradually changing rather than with creative innovations driving it. The
essential elements still seem to be to give as much direct control over
as much technology as possible and provide fast technical support. This
invaluable feedback has helped reassure that the objectives for M6.Net
are correct and once I am confident that we are well on the way to
achieving these objectives, we can refine and improve our marketing
message based on these strengths. Our philosophy is simple, good
marketing can only come from good products and services.
Simply put our major objectives are 1) get the control panel working so you have direct control over all the technology without the need for technical support 2) when you need technical support it is fast, courteous, in-depth and professional, 3) behind the scenes we increase our knowledge and resources more than any other providers to ensure the best reliability possible in the face of the storms that swarm across the internet. If I missed anything please email michaelg@m6.net. |

This week I have been
working on various aspects of managing my tasks and also following up on
the tasks delegated to members of the support team. I have also been
working with Roli & Javier on the control panel and automation logic,
and client move scripts. |

We have been working from end of last week
to fix some of the control panel errors. I have been following up
continuously with our developer and we are continuing to fix it. This
week I will be focusing on increasing the communication effectiveness
among my team members to avoid small confusions. We will also work out on the methods to resolve the clients’ complaints at the first attempt. I can understand that sometimes it really frustrates a person when he/she has to get things fixed after a number of attempts. We assure that we are now focusing on bringing this first time resolution technique in our team. |

| My main focus for the week
was the Control Panel. The entire week consisted of testing and bug
fixing. I also concentrated on developing the remaining bits, and
polishing the UI. The Control Panel will have context sensitive help along with the tool tip information to increase ease of use. This is the area I will be working next. There were scripts to be generated for moving clients from servers. I worked in coordination with Gavan and Javier for these. The scripts are in the process of being tested and executed on the servers Gavan mentioned. |
