Welcome | |
|
|
The new initiatives in the support team have started this week
and have had a very positive effect so far - not perfect - but very
positive and everyone on the team is heading in the right direction.
As the support team is growing fast, and to ensure quality on the
team, Matt will be maintaining training sessions for the whole team
on a regular basis along with maintaining the internal manuals and
knowledge base. I am now focusing my attention to work with Gavan on
the network admin procedures and projects for 2005 whilst following
through with Kunal to ensure the support initiatives continue. Roli and Javier are working all hours to get the Control Panel completed by end next week. |

An otherwise smooth week was turned on it's head yesterday when we experienced a power issue at one of our Network Operations Centers. As a result of this unexpected loss of power to some servers, two servers experienced slight hard disk issues. One was fixed quickly, however clients on one particular mail server will have noticed some extended downtime in regards to email. I have also been setting up a few new workstations in our office and have been working with clients to get some custom applications working. |

As mentioned last week, we have recruited 2
more new support personnel and have started training them. We are
looking forward to maintain regular and intensive training for the
entire team. I also am coaching team members each day on all past
queries. This week I have been busy working with Gavan to assist clients with yesterdays power issues. |

| This week I worked on
developing and modifying the internal intranet for generating detailed
reports related to the support shifts. Also worked on modifying the
current support scoreboard and updating it with the new member details. Working on the add support queries on the Control Panel. Also some new features like adding schedule tasks and name servers are being integrated in the control panel. Javier has been extensively working on these items. |
