  Welcome

Busy, busy, busy. We are currently rearranging internal servers to boost up hardware for the role out of the new control panel and a new m6.net web site in the coming weeks. It is exciting as after 4 years of development - 2 years delay I am not happy to say - we are very soon about to release the new control panel - FOR REAL! It is a huge investment and one I strongly believe in as it allows us to create and maintain the flexible hosting services that we want to provide. It's a big way of differentiating our selves and also maintaining very flexible operations. We try and rely on third parties as least as possible. In the internet world, especially hosting there are enough variables.

A busy week this week saw a couple of servers with issues that took up the bulk of my time early this week. Those now look to be resolved with both servers currently functioning properly. I’ve also been keeping an eye on our new mail server to ensure there are no niggling problems from last week’s move. We’ve also got new mail, monitoring and nameservers being added currently which I will be working on.

The load on support queue is under control since yesterday. There were some delays in responses for the last 2 days. This was mainly because of some large amount of request flowing in. Our support team was able to bring this under control with extra shifts yesterday.

Clients, who are having issues running aspx pages on the server, please make sure that the permissions for “ASPNET” user is assigned on the  domain root folder. You can do this by using the file manager in your control panel. If you get any issues then please submit a support ticket.

Tip for the week: When creating a new .Net application in your web root, try to create a virtual directory first and then start your project in that virtual directory. This will avoid the server application errors.

Hi everyone, the roll out of the control panel have been delayed for approximately one week due to some hardware issues. We have taken this time to do some code cleanup and preparing for the beta roll out end of next week. Vijay has been working on some security related tasks this week which will improve our already existing security measures. If you have any problem or suggestions for the controlpanel or you can, as always, contact us at bugs@copanel.com.
