Welcome This week I have been working closely with operations. I have also been working in support to get a better understanding of the types of queries coming in and what we need to do at an operational level to reduce the number of support queries and improve our responses to support queries.
We've changed some internal databases and code which has made things run much faster. You will noticed an improvement in the speed of the control panel. We've also increased the speed of our support system which means our support team is able to work through queries much faster. Our support queue is currently within our target metric of less than 10 at any one time. In the past few weeks we were at levels of greater than 100. With the increased support shifts on the weekend and improvements in speed of our databases we are now achieving our targeted metrics. Bob, Mary, Gavan, Ligon and Jagadish have all done an amazing job whilst we have worked to make these improvements. |

Network Administration
This week we moved our main database server to a newer, much more powerful machine. As a result, our support system, copanel and our automation system are now much more responsive. There have been a few casualties of the move, the old control panel now does not work at all, and the File Manager was out for a couple of days.
Everything should now be back working as usual, but quite a bit faster. We will be starting the first client site migrations this week, and will have 2 new DNS servers available for use. |

Support & Customer Service
This week has seen support levels drop down to normal through big efforts from our support staff, extra shifts, and the move our main database to a new server which has really sped things up internally for us. We've also resolved the mail issues of previous weeks in regards to the queue buildups and delivery delays. Right now we're planning the move of a number of older servers to new servers on new networks. |
