  Welcome

Apart from a couple of issues the new control panel beta rollout has been incredibly successful. All but a couple of functions on a few servers have required some bug fixing.

Vijay is working on the visual aspects of the control panel: mainly to do with style consistency and and a few usability issues. It"s much like building a house, when the builders leave someone has to come in and clean up the building site ready, so it is habitable for people to move in. Vijay is scheduled to have this finished by the end of the week. Daniel is also finalizing documentation which will be released early next week.

You will notice Bob as a new addition to our newsletter. Bob is taking on the proactive roles in Network Operations. This means Bob is bringing in new stuff to increase reliability, add features and automate more things. Gavan is still with us and still in network operations. Gavan"s role has been defined more in the trouble shooting of network ops stuff and is working closer with support to troubleshoot issues and point out where the support team can learn to be more aware and attentive in relation to overall network operations.

We"ve had a good week in Network Operations - there was an issue with a mail server over the weekend, and our third name server is currently offline for some maintenance and will be back up later today. Everything is on track and we"re making some real progress.

To cope with increased demand, we now have a new database server up and running, and there are plans for a new mail server very soon. We"re also adding increased automation to our monitoring system, so a lot of the simpler problems will just starting solving themselves, which will make life easier for everyone

Few days of the last week were quite busy with large number of support requests. There were some delays in response, which were recovered by scheduling extra shifts.

We are almost finished with new database server on one of our network. So, clients who were having issues with database connectivity will be moved to new server. For moving these databases the notification will be sent from us depending upon the database size and the traffic on it.

Tip of the Week: Do remember to update your expired credit card details. This will avoid suspension of your account and any other billing issues.

Hi everyone, the new control panel has had about 3000 users login so far and for most of you it has been working Ok, we are still having some issues to deal with, like permissions for the file manager and some DNS problems but apart from that it is running quite well. If you do have any concerns or bugs with the new control panel then please emails us at bugs@copanel.com and we will try and fix any issues you have as quickly as possibly. We are on track for a full release in 1 weeks time. We will not stop developing the control panel then either, just that stage one will be complete then.

Vijay has been working on the control panel too this past week to work out some inconsistency in the user interface.
