Michael Guilfoyle
Director

  Welcome

It's a very short week for us this week - as Monday was a local public holiday and Friday will also be a public holiday. We still run support around the clock. All full time staff take a well deserved break.

There was one very annoying issue this week where someone was trying to hack into some hosting accounts by automatically submitting requests on the control panel forgot password page. We have disabled this page for now and are blocking the IP addresses attacking this page. The requests were coming from Vietnam. If you have received emails from support confirming your login and password, please disregard them, they have not come from support but initiated by an attack on this forgot password page. I will review the procedures we will use to confirm passwords and login details with clients, when requested.

Network Administration

This week I have been removing deleted domains from one of our mail servers, setting up a new backup system for our core internal databases, and have also been setting a new client web server.

I have also been working with Michael to prioritize tasks and schedule some new tasks in regards to my administration and management role.

Hi!   Last week was pretty busy and the load on the support team was a bit high. We understand the concern of waiting too long for getting a response on even a simple issue. We are in the process of growing our team and that should help in reducing the response time. One request to all the clients, once again please make sure that you provide the complete details of your issue (along with any errors) to the support team. This will help us in providing the fix in first go.
