Michael Guilfoyle
Director

  Welcome

The focus right now is on customer support as there is a lot of activity. We are handling a lot of support requests helping a lot of customers with their developments and additions they are making on their web sites. 2006 is a very busy year for all things internet, going by what a lot of our customers are doing there will be some exciting developments coming out this year.

To keep up with this fantastic growth everyone is experiencing we are continuing in the process of adding more support staff and the way we are growing, recruiting new support staff will be a regular thing. You will likely see new people handling your support queries over the coming months. As with people coming into any new role mistakes occur and we use these to focus training. I have noticed a few mistakes with some support responses (less than 5%) and these can cause other issues and frustration I know. Bob, Gavan and myself do look out for these, to resolve them completely and help the new members of the team learn how to do things properly. We also learn from these mistakes of what we need to do in our introductory training programs to reduce the % of mistakes from new team members.

As Michael mentioned, we're very busy on support at the moment, with queries relatively high and new support people coming in almost every other day. Thankfully, the servers are behaving themselves and a lot of the things people have been waiting on are now available.

I've finished the .Net 2.0 installs, so anyone who has requested it before last week now has it ready for them. If you can forward a list of websites and/or applications you wish running .Net to support@m6.net, we can have you up and running very quickly.

We are making use of the new alert system in the control panel to let people know about things like .Net 2.0 and the recent IP change issues. If you look at your 'Account Overview' page - you'll see a list of alerts about issues that affect you and your sites, located just above the support query summary.

This week has been another busy one for support, with some issues from the last week still resulting in some queries from clients. Once again we'd like to remind you of the IP address changes for 69.44.X.X clients, and you can check your control panel for the details if you are affected.

Ananth has been working on the copanel this past week and added invoice functionality to the payment page. This will allow you to see more clearly what you have paid and what you owe us. If you have any problems with the feature please dont hesitate to contact support and let them know so we can fix it.
