Welcome | |

I need to update some photos as you can (or can't) see below. We have a
new Technical Support Leader, Josh McDougal. Josh will be taking
over Kunal's responsibilities and more. Kunal is still with us,
moving onto the support team so he can have more time to complete
his final year at University. Kunal has been charged with the
responsibility of leading and coaching the support team to provide
clients like yourself with prompt, professional and personable
support and try to make your experience with us as easy and pleasant
as possible. The control panel is still in a controlled beta and we do hope to release this to a wider beta group in the coming week. I have many people who have emailed me in the past about Beta Testing - once the developers are happy to take it out of a controlled beta, we will introduce more testers and I will be contacting you to join. I know it has been a long time coming and I do appreciate everyone's patience, support and commitment. Thank you. I am working on marketing material at the moment and if you have a spare minute or two I would appreciate it if you could email me with what it is about web hosting you seek most, what outcome do you desire when buying a web hosting product-service?- what is the end result of buying hosting that you are after and how does it feel when you achieve the result? When buying toothpaste, most are after clean white teeth with a fresh smelling breath... so what is it that you want in web hosting? ... I would very much appreciate anyone who has a spare few minutes to answer the question and email me at michaelg@m6.net - many thanks in advance. |

Network Administration |

This week I have
been focusing on prioritizing tasks and developing time
management skills to use my time more efficiently. I will
also be performing upgrades on the remaining SmarterMail 2.5
servers to 2.6, and there are some dedicated servers to
setup along with a new SQL server which will be setup soon.

I am the new
Technical Support Manager. My background is in System
Administration having managed around 50 small to medium
business networks around the local area. Since I have been
here I have noticed some things that could do with
improvement but as a whole I am impressed at the entire
operation. I look forward to helping the support team learn
more about managing problems and possible education in some
of the easier System Administration tasks. I am looking
forward to being a member of a great team.

Great news everyone, our new control
panel was finally released as a closed-beta. At this stage, testing
is only held on one of our new servers and only clients on this
server are selected to be our testers. We have had a lot feedback,
suggestions as well as bugs reported by our testers and we are
always working on to improve our services. We are expecting to start
beta testing in 2 weeks time where most of the initial bugs should
have been fixed. For those who are interested to contribute to our
testing process, please keep an eye on our newsletter next week
where further details will be announced.
