Most of you wont even notice what's going on at the moment. But a small few of you will and you will find it frustrating ... Everyone is focused on automation this week and responding to automation queries. The automation components work. What we've found is that each server with the multitudes of different permissions, components and technologies that we have set for so many different clients provides a very dynamic environment that can make it hard for the control panel to do what it needs to do when a client makes a change to their account. One little differing permission setting or differing path to the norm can cause a multitude of problems. That's why many hosts set very strict terms and conditions to how accounts are setup on their servers. Which makes it hard for people to develop innovative sites and try new things on the internet. This is why we are going to great lengths and effort to make our automation work in spite of the thousands of different combinations and permeations of client setups. Our efforts are geared towards making the complexities of technology work with the complexities of the innovations many of you want to build. We get our fair share of complaints and expressions of upset, from clients. Amongst all of this, head to screen everyone at M6.Net always continues to forge ahead to make what seems impossible possible. Responses might seem a little slower than normal by a few hours here and there, this means that people are working on the backend trying to solve issues to make sure they will automatically work in the future. For the few of you who experience these automation issues with us we do appreciate your time, your patience and your understanding and we are constantly working hard to remove the issues you experience for good. |

We have .Net 2.0 and SQL Server 2005.
New clients are already going to these machines; older clients who have contacted us about being moved will be notified in the order they contacted us. Once we have made completely sure our automation system can handle things, I will be upgrading as many of our machines as possible. Some bad news though, if you are on one of our oldest machines (IPs looking like 216.180.x.x), we are no longer adding features or fixing any bugs unrelated to security. As the vast majority of people on these machines have been having no issues for years, we will not make a move compulsory, but if you want to take advantage of .Net 2.0, SQL Server 2005 or any other feature upgrades that we roll out, please contact support@m6.net so we can arrange for you to be moved. . |

Last week and this week has been busy and there were some delays in support requests. If you are not getting responses in few hours then please do not worry as our support technicians will be answering your requests soon. We apologize for this delay.
Tip of the week: If you are setting up any domain or database from control panel and if it says in waiting or pending then please wait for a response from support as we will be notified about the stuff that might have failed. |

| Hi Everyone, we have been testing our control panel automation on .NET 2 these last few days and everything seems to be working as expected. We have also tested the automation for MS SQL 2005 which also seems to be working as expected, apart from that we have continued to work on any issues with the control panel and moving towards an official 3.0 release. If you have any issues or concerns please email support@m6.net or submit your concerns through the controlpanel and mark it as a "control panel bug" |
